build maintain restore manage
Due to a tight timescale this project was secured by means of a two stage tender.
Due to time constraints 6 of the classrooms needed to be completed within 11 weeks from commencement, with demolition and then piling to contend with it was going to be tight to get these handed over and passed by building control, with literally 2 hours to spare the first phase was handed over and the pressure was off, but not for long, as the remaining 6 classrooms were needed by the school for the start of the new term
The construction consisted of a timber frame with a lightweight steel structure to carry the stone effect GRC panels which were sourced to match the stone facacde of the existing school building that were were extending, this stone complimented the rain screen cladding to the other facades
An extremely successful project from start to finish
"Sean and his team ensured that this project ran like clockwork. From the start of the process and all through the construction operations and after the works were handed over the service was second to none"
Doug Walker, Headmaster
